Mode of Action:

• ROYTI has a unique mode of action compared to other broad-spectrum post-emergence herbicides.
• ROYTI acts in the soil after application and controls susceptible weeds during germination and emergence.
• It inhibits fatty acid production, stopping weeds at the very beginning.
• It creates a chemical barrier in the soil that kills weed seeds as they germinate by disrupting cell division.

Key Properties / USPs:

• Exceptional Grass Control Efficiency: Pyroxasulfone shows elite intrinsic activity against tough annual grasses (like Phalaris minor & Alopecurus spp.) right out of the gate.
• Effective against ALS-resistant weeds: A major issue with post-emergents like Mesosulfuron is that many destructive weeds (such as Phalaris minor or wild oats) have developed heavy genetic resistance to ALS inhibitors. Pyroxasulfone uses a completely different, unique mode of action (VLCFA inhibition), making it incredibly effective at breaking the resistance cycle.
• Long Soil Residual Life: Pyroxasulfone binds well to the soil and remains stable across varying pH levels. This gives it a long duration of residual control, catching late-germinating weed flushes that a single post-emergent spray of Mesosulfuron and others having a similar MoA might miss completely.
• Higher Yield Safety: Mesosulfuron can occasionally cause temporary crop stress (phytotoxicity), especially if applied during extreme cold or dry weather. Because Pyroxasulfone targets weeds before they interact with the crop canopy, it causes minimal impact on crop emergence and results in higher overall yields.

Dosage Recommendation:

Method of Application:

• Apply immediately after sowing and before weed emergence.
• Apply using a herbicide nozzle and 120 litre water per acre.
