Mode of Action :

Gengwei 55% SC is a post-emergence, broad-spectrum systemic weedicide, which acts by being absorbed into weeds through leaves and roots.

Recommendations :

Application Timing & Method:

• Spray after the first irrigation when the soil is moist.
• Weeds should be at the 2–4 leaf stage.
• The height of the maize crop should not exceed 1 foot.
• Use a knapsack hand sprayer or a tractor-mounted boom sprayer.
• Apply 100 to 120 liters of water per acre.
• Optimum control of emerged weeds is achieved when weeds are actively growing.
• Moisture in the soil surface is essential for effective results.

Precautions for Spray:

• Fill the sprayer halfway with water before adding the chemical.
• Avoid overlapping sprays.
• Do not spray in strong winds.
• Do not spray during cloudy or rainy weather.
• Avoid spraying during the hottest part of the day.
• Do not apply organophosphate or carbamate insecticides within 7 days before or after Gengwei application.
• Do not apply if the maize height exceeds 12 inches.
• Do not apply with irrigation water through flooding.
• Use appropriate herbicide nozzles.
