Jaffer Brothers established Murshid Builders - a construction firm, in 1984.
Since its inception, MBL has worked in collaboration with some of the leading overseas
companies. MBL has had the privilege of operating as the main, as well as a sub-contractor for international construction giants such as Encorp (USA), Tobishima, Shimizu,
Taisei Corporation and Mitsui & Company (Japan). It has completed projects in
partnership with foreign companies that involved billions of rupees, mostly funded
under the Foreign Assistance Program of USA, JICA and OECF.
Some of the construction projects that MBL has undertaken are: Campus of the Agriculture
University, Peshawar; Fertility Control Institute, Karachi; Housing Complex, Haripur;
Honda Car Factory, Lahore; Construction Machinery Training Institute, The Educational
TV Station, Khanpur Dam Water Reservoirs, Islamabad; Weather Forecast Radar Stations,
Rahim Yar Khan and Dera Ismail Khan; Kohat Tunnel and Access Roads temporary facilities
and Box Culverts, Kohat.
