Power Generation and Transmission
P&M offers both technology and products that improve the reliability of power
systems/networks. The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and Karachi Electric
Supply Corporation (KESC) have been using its products for the last 25 years and are satisfied
with the equipment as well as backup support provided by JBL. Some of the products
are: grid stations, Extra High Voltage (EHV) transformers, conductors, insulators
and other hardware. These products are supplied under various international funding
(loans/grants) and local funds. The current power shortage in the country brought
the focus back to power generation and distribution. JBL is actively participating
in CCPP in the private and public sectors and sub-station and transmission lines
projects through its counterparts Azrab Energy and Moham Sharq Group - Iran and CNMC -
China. It is also working to strengthen the initiatives of AEDB by encouraging
Soytes - Turkey to participate in wind energy projects.
